Significado’s first project was launched in Moldova in February 2015. Partnering with Angello Capital who have invested in a number of SMEs in Moldova Significado have worked to deepen the impact that the investment makes with a particular focus on unemployed youth.

 

Moldova is the poorest country in Europe that suffers from particularly high rates of youth unemployment and the social problems that are associated with this major issue.

Projects have been established that focused on building the entrepreneurial skills of young people by providing them with advice from local businesses, models and lessons from international partners and a small start-up loan to develop a micro-business project.

This experience proved valuable in refining a model which would lead to life-changing jobs for the youth we engage with.
